... on my street. she was just walking around. She's old- her teeth are gross and she has various lumps on her body, and her eyes are starting to get cloudy. But she's really sweet- I've let her into the house now and my 11 month old Corgi (Johann) is really excited to have this "guest." I put up flyers in the neighborhood, called all the vet clinics, and even posted an ad online and a status on facebook. I also took her to the vet to check for a microchip, but unfortunatley she doesn't have one. She didn't have a collar on when I found her either :( At least she looks well taken care of- I checked her for fleas before bringing her inside. Her coat could use a brushing but she's not dirty.
Has anybody else found a Corgi before? What did you do?
Also.. how much should I feed her if she ends up staying overnight? I gave her 1/2 cup of Johann's food, which is Back to Basics turkey flavor. I really hope her owners call soon because my parents already said I can't keep her :'(

Call all the vets in the area, as well as the local animal shelters and humane societies. Take good pictures of her, and send them to the above, as well as posting in supermarkets, malls, etc. Chances are if she looks well fed, that hopefully someone is looking for her. I'd start with little meals, and then work your way up if she looks hungry still. Of course, what corgi doesn't always look hungry though? I'd say 1/4 cup to start twice a day, then go up if no diarrhea, etc. I'd also take her to your vet and have them check her out. She might be sick and you don't want to expose your dog to any unwanted diseases. My vet will do it for free, since he knows I'll keep them and find a good home for them. Maybe yours would do the same or give you a discount? Let me know how it goes. Hope everything turns out ok!
OMG...never found one out here in the boonies. Glad you had her to the vet. I think just enough food to get her by till morning is good since she's not used to the food. Thanks for helping her out!
