I'm sorry to hear your little one has torn his ACL. It will be one year on June 29th since Soffie tore her ACL. We did not have the surgery, as it was not a complete rupture. But the option for surgery was always available. Keeping her activity completely restricted at first with gradual added activity and following a strict diet to reduce her weight by 9 pounds proved successful so far. We did alot of research on the internet. And we got alot of good advice from fellow Corgi owners right here on mycorgi.com.
