I saw this coming from a mile away.

I was supposed to welcome Ace on the 31st of August. Now it looks like I'll have to sit tight and wait until the 3rd of September, and not for any other reason than the fact that the vet offices filled out the forms in black, not blue, ink. If there were ever any reason to hate the bureaucratic red tape and paperwork hellishness of importing a dog, it's this one.

I don't even know why it needs to be in blue ink. For other zones, blue is preferred, but they'll take black in a pinch. The EU can really get my goat sometimes with a silly legislation, and this one personally affects me. I had my heart set on greeting a beautiful puppy this Wednesday. Now I'll have to see if I can even get a ride into Paris for this Saturday, and at the crack of dawn, too.

Fantastic way to start the week!

I live in France, and the puppy is coming from the USA. Nevertheless, we had to have the forms redone, appointments with the USDA taken again, and hopefully this time it goes through without a hitch. What a headache!

where do you live and where is the puppy coming from?  I can only imagine Germany being picky about the color of ink, lol
