Being part of this site has only been a very short part of my dog-wanting life, but I'm very, very happy to report that a payment has been made, and contracts reviewed... Finally, after almost 20 years of waiting... I'm getting a puppy. :]
Everyone, meet "Jack"!
(Totally grabbed this photo from the breeder's fb. Haha. Hope she doesn't mind...)
Jack is 9 months old, bred by Carra Cole of Oakwind Corgis in Tennessee. I'm not sure I'll keep the name "Jack" yet, but for now, it'll do. I do kinda like it...
I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who told me that when I find "the one", I'll know. I admit I was a little skeptical, but you guys were right! I called up Carra last Friday after waiting a few days for an email reply, thinking I'd just leave a voicemail (I had another breeder I was planning on calling that evening). But she picked up, and we ended up talking for an hour about corgis. (Wow how amazing is it to talk to someone who loves corgis as well! All my friends just think I'm crazy as they laugh and shakes their heads! Lol.) If Jack is really how she describes him, he's exactly what I'm looking for. I got off the phone feeling great! I didn't even bother calling the other breeder. Haha.
The next day she sent over the contract, and a few hours ago I sent it back and paypal-ed over the payment. She called me again earlier tonight just to make sure I wanted Jack for sure, and we ended up talking for another hour and a half. Haha. Jack's going to the vet to get snipped tomorrow, and we're planning for a flight later this week, as long as weather at Dallas-Fort Worth airport cooperates! That and if the vet ok's Jack to travel a few days after his surgery. I've got a lot of puppy shopping to do!
I'm beyond excited right now! I'm sure most of you know the feeling. I couldn't sleep last night because that's all I could think about! I barely slept, and had to walk to work, but the entire day I was in a great mood just thinking about how happy I am! Corgis are the next miracle drug, I swear. Haha.
Here's to hoping that the weather will be cool enough for Jack to fly here! Please keep your fingers crossed for us! (And if you're in the DFW area, please tell your weather to cool down. Haha. We need below 85!) I can't wait til Jack is here. Please prepare yourselves. There will probably be lots, and lots of pictures. :]

Thank you!! I hope you can get yours soon too! :]
Congrats! He is adorable!
I think this picture is my favorite one BECAUSE it's his fluffiest-looking picture! Hahaha. The breeder said Jack's dad is fluff-free, but you would've never thought so cuz he had such a thick coat. So I'm hoping Jack will be the same. :] Love those glamor coats~ She also said he's getting ready to blow his puppy coat though, so maybe that's why too? Thanks again, Jen! I can't wait til I can post more! Haha.
Oh wow, I thought he was a fluff that had had a trim. XD I guess he has a...I think they call it a "glamor coat?" I think what I'm trying to say is he's way fluffier than Ellie, haha! Congratulations again, Shou. Can't wait to see more puppy pictures!
Chris: As much as I would love to have more than 1 pup right now, I'm really hoping my 2nd one won't find me THAT soon. Haha. I think I'll have my hands full with just 1! But if a corgi showed up on my doorstep, I think I'd be tempted to keep it too. Haha.
Geri: Thank you!
He's such a cutie! Congratulations!
Ha ha! My second one found me! You never know what will happen!
Thank you everyone!! I'm hoping he'll be here soon. Fingers still crossed for good shipping weather!
Jen: He's actually not a fluffy. Haha. But he's fluffy... enough. :] I'm actually thinking maybe I'll get a fluffy GIRL next. But who knows. It'll be a while before I should even THINK about a 2nd puppy.
Bobbie D.: How much longer do you guys have to wait for your puppy?
What a handsome boy! His markings are just perfect. As for everything working out like it should? God wants us to have corgis! I'm sure of it! OXOX
Congrats!! Corgis are definitely a mood booster! Enjoy your new buddy!
