Eric and I went to see two corgis at a rescue today. We were hoping to add our family. We had Ein, an 8 month old tri before today. Now, we had Ed, a 1 year old sable. Things are still a little rough at the house. We wanted to introduce the two well, so after they played at the rescue a bit we decided they were a good fit. Once home, we let them play in the backyard for about an hour, then brought them into the basement, a less lived in portion of our house, and then into the upstairs, the main living area of our house. Ed is the more dominant of the two, which is fine. He was just neutered a couple of weeks ago though, so he is marking places in the house. I'm hoping that will go away once he feels a bit more comfortable. Also, feeding time was interesting. I put out two pulls, a busy buddy and a kong, just so things might go easy, but Ed is possessive of food. I don't know for sure how to handle that. I assume he will also be possessive of toys, but I haven't put any down yet for the two to share. Currently I have Ed in a kennel and Ein relaxing, just because it has been a stressful day. They have been playing or moving constantly since we brought them home, and Ein is just not used to it.

Anybody have a similar situation? Any help would be wonderful.
