I live in Jackson, MS and we barely ever get ANY snow and when we do it's just a little bit. But tonight it's snowing wonderfully! We've got an inch or two already out there and it's still early on in the night so I'm hoping we'll get alot more before morning so we can play a lot tomorrow! I went ahead and took my son, Ian, out to play and Yumi tagged along as well. This is Ian's second snow, but I don't think he remembers the first one and this is Yumi's very first snow, so both of them were absolutely loving it! While Ian was busy pegging me with snowballs, Yumi was running fast circles around the yard, bounding here and there trying to catch the snow! She made corgi crop circles all throughout the yard, lol. I'm looking forward for the morning so we can all go play some more and I can get lots of good pictures!!

well, we went back out this morning but there wasn't too much left :( i'm hoping that since it snowed so much so early this year that we'll actually get more and in bigger quantities later on!

@Beth - yea, Yumi didn't want to come in either, lol. her and my son both refused, I had to pick them both up (one in each arm) and carry them inside, my son fussing and Yumi wiggling and whining!

@Nicole and STELLA - I wish we would get 6+ inches! We're lucky to even get flurries that don't stick, lol, this snow was very unexpected and we got about an inch. Back in 2000 we actually got about 4 inches on New Years, I hope for more this year!

We haven't had snow yet. We might get some flurries today. I've never seen Maddie in the snow but Jack adores it. It's difficult to get him to come back inside if there's snow. Last winter we had tons of ice so he didn't get to play very much; I was afraid he'd slip and hurt himself.

We got some of that same snow here in Demopolis, AL. It is a shame it didn't stay long. My boy didn't know what to do in it, but I think he did try to write his name in it while it lasted. I am hoping the south will get another before christmas!

It's snowing in western Maryland, too. Although we had some snow earlier in the year, we didn't have real ground coverage, so this morning was Stella's first experience in the snow. She ran around in circles like crazy and was shoveling it with her nose. She was also eating some--of course. I can't wait until we get a big snow and she has to wade through 6+ inches with her little corgi legs!

It's snowing in Virginia and Madoc got his first taste! He was reluctant at first to walk off the terrace and in to the snow-- he tasted some off a shrub and then trotted in to the yard. Then he frapped like crazy, running in circles around the tree. The minute he came back in and consumed his food he was at the back door begging to get out. Someone mentioned that salt/snow chemical might hurt his pads--true? -- does everyone do a foot-washing after snow play?

The part of Michigan I live in just had a very light snow fall so Sparty got to make his 1st Corgi Snow Angel yesterday. Usually we have had more by now. About an hour away from us where I grew up they had 14 inches.

It snowed here just a little flurry the beginning of oct. no snow since. I feel cheated too John. I can't wait to play with Kota in the snow. Take lots and lots of pics. Pics are awesome!

I know, this weather is crazy! Not that I mind, I love the snow, but this was very unexpected. That is hilarious about your dogs, Yumi was a bit scared of snowballs at first but started bouncing and catching them once she realized they wouldn't hurt her ^^

It's snowing in Mississippi and we haven't even had any in Seattle yet?!? I feel so cheated. We had lovely snow on our first Al Day three years ago, Thanksgiving weekend.
I loved throwing snowballs, which the dogs expected to behave like tennis balls -- waiting for the bounce, they were conflusticated when the balls disappeared upon hitting the ground! They'd go to the point of impact an search for a ball. I got back at them for all the time they've spent laughing at me.
