Well, it's been quiet an uneventful week/end!
Every time I left the house last week, Poppy was very quiet, which was so awesome! I was so happy! Though today when I left, she cried and barked when I was getting ready for work and then I waited outside for about 5 minutes and she was fine, but then I started walking down the hall and could hear her starting to bark. I video taped her today (totally forgot last week) so I can't wait to see what she did after I left. I hope she'll catch on quick again like last week. Monday was our "worst" day last week (barking and pee'ing in the pen) but then after that she was fine the rest of the week. Unfortunately, this week I am all over the place because I have jury duty tomorrow. I got her eval'd at ANOTHER place over the weekend that has $20 Tuesdays, so I am going to take her there tomorrow and probably every Tuesday going forward.
Poppy went to a full day of daycare at the nice place near where I live (we walk there!) which was really really great. She was pooped when we got home at the end of the day and seemed to learn a lot as we went out a few times over the weekend and she actually went up to people to say "hello", which she has never done before! I was thrilled! I am going to buy a pack of daycare and she'll go there every week. So I'll have her in daycare twice a week at two different places. I think that will be good.
Funny: In the middle of the night last Thursday, she was "digging" her sheet on my bed and she kept moving backwards, she fell off the bed! I immediately jumped out, turned on the light and she seemed kind of scared, but I soothingly said, "it's okay, it's okay". I think she thought I was mad, but I so wasn't. Kind of funny! She wasn't hurt at all.
Food: I was browsing some other food websites and a tip from the Blue food website suggested adding a little warm water to the dogs food to "release the smells and flavor" so I did and Poppy gobbled down the whole thing!! I am trying to keep her from grazing all day and am THRILLED that this worked!!!!!
Toys: She has her good and bad days with the iQ ball. She played with it a lot when we first got it (last Monday) and hasn't had any interest in it since, until yesterday when she played with it for a long time, YAY! That plus, hiking, she was popped yesterday. A great day!
I have her in three different daycare places this week, plus if I have jury duty on Wednesday, she'll stay with my parents, which I am a little worried about, as they have never dealt with an animal in their life. But my mom said she really wants to do it, so we'll see. I am trying to take it day by day.
Have a great week!
