It has been a while since I have been on, but I just thougt I would give a little update and maybe help someone else out who may be facing the same delima I did. My Sweet Sophie ended up having surgery to repair her torn ACL. It has been a little over a month now and she is doing great! She no longer has stitces or a bandage, and she would probably tell you the best part is that she does not have to wear that silly cone any more. Before she had the surgery I wondered if I would be doing the right thing, and now that she has had the surgery there is not a doubt in my mind. I know I made the right decision for her. She is on her way to a speedy and full recovery. If there is anyone else out there who is faced with this situation, I would be glad to talk to you and let you know how things went for us!

Excellent! Glad Sophie is recovering well :) Thanks for the update and volunteering to help other members, I'm sure they'll benefit from your experience.

Glad to hear that she is doing well! We decided not to have the surgery on Sparty but our circumstances were different. He was older, had arthritis already, and is the most dramatic baby about everything that we just did not see him as a good candidate. If it happened to my other corgi I would do it because she is pretty mild mannered. The photos of her with the cast on are sooo pitiful.
