Leon and the snow.

It's snowing outside right now. First snow of the season. I was fully convinced we wouldn't get any snow over here kent/auburn before christmas. Way to prove me wrong mother nature. :) Yesterday we got slush up on the hill at my mom's house and flooding down here at mine. It's funny how we're less than half a mile apart and yet the winter weather is so desperately different. This is leon's first snow. It had just barely started when we first started out on our first walk of the night. He got to meet two ladies while we were out, one who was in a wheelchair and who were both very happy to see him. They thought he was adorable in his owl sweater. :) It makes me so happy to see how happy he makes others. When it started to get heavier though he didn't want to be out in it anymore and he started trying to dodge snowflakes. It was pretty funny, but also kinda scary. I thought he was going to end up running out in the road in his effort not to get hit, so we ended up cutting the walk in half. We'll be out again a little later to see how he does. Maybe in an hour since the traffic is down and we can walk now without having to worry about him getting into an accident.

I want to get leon a shirt that says "I'm big in japan." :)

Comment by Cam on December 15, 2008 at 3:40am: He did alright on our second walk around. We ended up going up to my mom's today since he was going stir crazy in the house and wouldn't stop barking. It ended up being nice for him, he was able to go play outside in the snow with my neice and parents dog. :) He's been really tuckered out since we got home and I kinda hope we get more.
