I was so amazed how Luffy's herding instinct just clicked on when he first saw the sheeps. I was thinking he would have been scared of the sheep since he has never seen one in his life. I'm so proud of my little guy!

Thanks for the info about the herding location.  I thought the freeway looked familiar.

We live on the other side of the 91 FWY off of La Palma Ave.  Don't know if we will be able to go though.

The only class available is on Wednesdays, during working hours.

@Geri, I would love to go out to one of the san diego meets one day and def plan on so..  It really is great watching your corgis doing what they were born to do, i couldnt wipe the smile off my face while watching him haha

He did great! Sidney's been out herding three times. It's amazing what they instinctively know. Since you are in So Cal, maybe you'll want to join the San Diego Corgi meetup group. We have lots of great events including herding a time or two a year.

Very impressive!  I have thought about trying it with Murray, but never have.  This kind of inspires me.  I don't really want to get into another sport...agility is time consuming enough...but it would be fun to see what he would do.

Great video! I'm sure Luffy had the best night of sleep after an exciting day like that!

That was AWESOME!! Bet he was tired that night!  Bogart is having his first sheep herding lesson on January 13.  We were scheduled for last Sunday but it rained a lot Saturday and they said the field was too muddy to be safe. I'm sure it is a great mental "treat" for herding dogs to work with their natural talent.

Oh, that is so cool... I've been looking for somewhere around here (santa cruz/sf bay area) where I can try that with Chewey, but so far haven't been successful.   I've read about herding trials not too far away but they seem to be at very specific limited times.

@Jeff it was on a farm in Anaheim California. It's a lot of fun and great exercise mentally and physically for the dog!
