It's sad.  I dropped her off a little more than an hour ago and I miss her so much already.  I think part of it is still some lingering feelings of when I last dropped a dog off at the vet's - she didn't make it.  This time it's just a spay though - and Luna has been a healthy girl - it's just weird not having her here with me. Normally she would be running around the house right now, playing or frapping like crazy.  Instead she's at the vet.  My poor baby.... but it must be done and she'll be back with me tonight - only a little sorer.  And with a donut around her neck.... lol

While she's at the vet I'm also getting her microchipped - a just in case precaution.

Yes, Luna too only wears the donut when she's alone at home.  I came back from class tonight to discover she had removed it and instantly checked the surgical site.  Thankfully she's smart enough to leave them alone.

He's doing great! Thanks! Like nothing ever happened. He's good about keeping his "hat" ( I would just give him  treat every time I put it on) on when I'm at work but I keep it off when I'm home. I thought he would lick more but he's been good. The neuter is not as invasive as what poor little Luna had but they'll be happier in the long run and live longer right! and that is what we want!

Oh she's doing good! She's figured out how to get the donut off herself, but thankfully has left her stitches alone!

Hi Krystle!

I "feel you" I had Bailey neutered the same day!  And even though you know it will be fine there's always that nervous feeling.

So how's your little girl doing? Healing nicely and running around the house we hope!

Cheers

Oh,not fun.We also had to do the vet experience:Merlin had to have his acl in his rear left leg operated on yesterday. After 15 minute naps all during the nite, along with whimpering as He came out of the drugs,he's doing better today.Uor girl Keri just doesn't understand why her baby brother can't run around!!She keeps doing the

corgi bunny hop at him to run!!!

I agree, its important to get this done.  She'll be back home before you know it.  Mine were back to normal after surgery in less then 24 hours!  I know how empty the house feels when they are gone though!!

I know how you feel, I am always nervous about leaving them at the vet even though my vet is great. It is silly I know to have flash backs to the bad times when I have so many more good ones. Hope Luna is up and running soon!
