Addie is my first Corgi,I've always had mini schnauzers, and the experience has been so different. I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a Corgi that is marked like Addie? She's tri colored but as you can see very dark and marked very different. I love her to the moon and back and don't care about her blood line, but since she does have papers I was just curious if anyone had seen one like her. She hasn't become very fluffy or bushy around her head. Though she does shed enough to make another Corgi sometimes.

Anyway I wanted to become part of a group that knows and loves Corgi's. I would love to learn more about the bred and possibly learn more about Adelaide. Thanks for making us part of the group.

I think affection levels vary with individual dogs. I also think that being a herding breed, they are independent thinkers and alert to their surroundings more so than non-herding breeds. Jeli hated to be held or petted when I brought her home at 9 weeks. Now,at 18 months, she is much more tolerant of being held and petted, but not for long periods of time. She Also chooses to sleep in her crate rather than on the bed. I suppose that is not a bad thing, but some times I would like her to be more affectionate as well. But she is always within a few feet of me, no matter where I am or what I'm doing. I haven't gone to the bathroom by myself since I brought her home!!!

Addie will be 2 in October. Right now she's going thru a stage that every time I try and take her pic she runs. So only the one picture of her sitting up with ears back is recent. Rest are baby pics.

She is very unique, and the most beautiful shiny coat. But as she's gotten older, I've wondered occasionally, if maybe she could be mixed with something else. She did get a little bit of her mane and fuzzier around her little bottom, but that's about it.

I do have some problems with her being really scared of things, especially noises. And she's not mean to me, in anyway like trying to bite, but she's not real lovable toward me. Doesn't want to sleep with me, and sometimes will get up and leave if I'm sitting by her and I pet her. It's kind of funny, but it also kind of breaks my heart. I can't figure out why she's that way toward me. She gets so much love and attention, well at least as much as she will allow. So I was just wondering if anyone had any insight into her behavior. Are corgi's more independent, and don't want to be loved on a lot, or does my corgi just hate me? Lol. I'm laughing now, but sometimes it truly breaks my heart.

Addie is adorable...she does have very little white for a black headed tri but that doesn't matter. My Sage is one of the darkest sables you will ever see. It makes her unique.

How old is she? Since Corgis don't fully mature till 18-24 months she has a long way to go:)

This is a great place for Corgi owners/lovers.
