Ace is now coming up fast on his seven-month birthday and weighs "just" 7.5 kg (or 16.5 lb). I am a little concerned as he is from the USA and the AKC standard calls for a minimum weight of 30 lb for males, ideally. I understand that he's far from fully grown and that it could take up to 2 years for him to fill out, but he is noticeably smaller than other male Cardis we saw at his age.
WRT his weight in proportion to his frame, he is at a really great size - pressing slightly with the fingers on his sides will let you feel his ribcage, and he has nice tuck-up. He is on a half-raw, half-Acana (same co. as Orijen) kibble regimen and does not appear "hungry". We supplement his diet with a healthy amount of green beans for filler, and probiotic yogurt. I don't really want to give him more at mealtime as I'm afraid he'll just get chunky without growing in dimensions. What do you all think?
Edit: He went to the vet just a week ago for a routine check-up and received a clean bill of health. He doesn't show any parasite in his stool sample, and is not excessively active.

Well you could try giving him a bit more food and just see what happens. You can always cut it back if he starts growing in the wrong directions lol. I think I upped Luke's food by 1/4" cup when he stalled out, and it did seem to help him get growing again.
my female was the smallest of her litter and at almost 3 yrs old weighs in at 19 lbs, she's a pembroke though.
I don't know much about his parents, sadly. When Ace was born, his breeder did tell me that he was quite small and that since I was looking for a show prospect, she would have rather I take the largest pup in the litter to ensure he/she would fill out. I really wanted a blue merle, though, and so I ended up with this little guy.
I would be pleased if Ace is indeed taking his sweet time to grow, as I really wanted to promote slow and gradual growth for the sake of his joints, but he has stalled for over a month now at 7.5 kg and doesn't seem to want to budge from that. He too is on an ALS food (Acana grain-free), and has no dietary issues with it or his raw. I hope he fills out a little more, but I wouldn't mind him staying small as I plan to work him in obedience and agility anyway. :)
Do you know how much his parents weighed? He could just be on the small side for a cardi, or just really taking his sweet time to grow. Luke was 26 lbs for months and months...I thought he would never get any bigger. Then all of a sudden he shot up to 35 lbs. a few months after he turned a year old. He's been on an all life stages food almost his whole life.
