So it's a little over a month after Callie had a softball sized benign tumor removed from her intestine and she has made a wonderful recovery. She's back to her old self again... well besides one thing. She begs for food now. Before the surgery she would rarely beg for food, in fact I'd usually have to remind her to eat. Now it will be an hour or so before I feed her and she looks up at where I keep her food and at her dish. And she does this all the time. It's not a bad thing, at least she actually eats what I put in front of her now instead of skipping meals all the time.
Otherwise she is still a bit sensitive about her tummy. She yips if people touch it when she's not expecting it, but she is still a huge fan of belly rubs and will demand them from people. She will also yip of people touch right under her front legs, but she has always done that. When we go on walks I get comments on how Callie looks so healthy and happy. All I can do is smile and nod, thankful that we made it through this whole ordeal and we can now move one with our lives together.
