Exactly a year ago today (the Wednesday before Thanksgiving) I found out I was getting my first Corgi, Scout!  My friend at work said I could come get her from the neighbor any time.  Well, I decided to wait until after the weekend to get her since I was traveling and didn't want to take her on a long car ride first thing.  Then, I decided to wait until Friday so I would have a weekend to get to know her before I had to work.  So on December 3rd, I drove and picked up my dirty flea-filled dog with clumps of dead fur that needed brushed out, and took her to the pet store to bathe and brush her, took her to the vet for vaccines and a checkup, and she's been mine ever since!  She's helped me through unemployment, moved with me to southern Indiana when I got my new job and knew no one in town,  and always been there when I needed her. So much has changed in this last year, except for 1 thing, my little shadow that must be with me everywhere I go.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!  Enjoy the holiday with your family! (both 2 and 4 legged)

Another coincidence - it'll be exactly a year this coming Sunday that we found our corgi on PetFinder...  We feel totally blessed.  He's become such a huge part of our lives - it's hard to imagine what it was like BC (Before Chewey).

Happy Thanksgiving all!

Wow! What a coincidence!  It was exactly one year ago tomorrow, on Thanksgiving, that we adopted our first Corgi.  We have also been reminiscing about the past year with Fergie, and how happy she has made us!  Right now she is snuggling on the couch with my two daughters, and my youngest has had a bit of a bug.  Fergie is her pillow, and the two are snuggled up and snoozing.  I don't know who has been happier - Fergie or the rest of us!  This has been the absolute perfect breed and dog for us!  We couldn't be happier.  Enjoy your Corgie and celebrate a wonderful anniversary holiday!
