Opossum Adventure

So I was minding my own business the other day. I don't usually by the way. When all of a sudden, I saw this thing. It was shades of grey and white with a pink tail. I ran right after it, and so did my mom. I think she wanted to find out what it was just as badly as I did. I got to it first, and man I had no clue what it was. It kept saying hello by making this hissing sound, but it was definitely not a cat. I know my cats! I did a little further investigation and attempted to sniff it, but my mother picked me up and ruined everything. She scared it away and it climbed in a tree. Mom gave me a look of freight. I don't know why she wouldn't let me investigate?!?! I still dont know what that creature was?? Maybe it'll come back tomorrow and wanna play.

Comment by Linda on October 10, 2014 at 8:30am: Max and Katie (and every other dog I've had over the last 34 years) have had run-ins with those nasty looking critters. They are ugly and sound as bad as they look. I will admit that I am grateful that the run-ins have been with them and not the skunks that frequent the area. And no, I don't let them play with those nasty things either.

I was all confused. "Wait a minute, these things don't climb trees, they curl in a ball with hard shell".

We don't have either of those back here but clearly it wasn't an armadillo... lol
