So I was minding my own business the other day. I don't usually by the way. When all of a sudden, I saw this thing. It was shades of grey and white with a pink tail. I ran right after it, and so did my mom. I think she wanted to find out what it was just as badly as I did. I got to it first, and man I had no clue what it was. It kept saying hello by making this hissing sound, but it was definitely not a cat. I know my cats! I did a little further investigation and attempted to sniff it, but my mother picked me up and ruined everything. She scared it away and it climbed in a tree. Mom gave me a look of freight. I don't know why she wouldn't let me investigate?!?! I still dont know what that creature was?? Maybe it'll come back tomorrow and wanna play.

Max and Katie (and every other dog I've had over the last 34 years) have had run-ins with those nasty looking critters.  They are ugly and sound as bad as they look.  I will admit that I am grateful that the run-ins have been with them and not the skunks that frequent the area.  And no, I don't let them play with those nasty things either.

I was all confused.  "Wait a minute, these things don't climb trees, they curl in a ball with hard shell".

We don't have either of those back here but clearly it wasn't an armadillo...   lol
