What can I say about kids? Kids are cute, loud, loud, did I say cute already? I like kids, I do, but not the kind that pulls my ears and takes all my toys away. This one kid that my mom babysits comes over all the time. He has the grayest eyes. They are really pretty. When he comes over we play chase and run. Most of the time I'm the one running. He's only caught me twice. I escape by running at super speeds and also my mom chases him and puts him down for a nap. I love it when he goes to sleep, I get to cuddle with this sweet little kid that is never around when he's awake. Kids are really fun company and they keep me out of trouble. Mom gets too distracted to notice me redecorating in her room. I LOVE KIDS.... I need a leash for this one.

OMG, we need a "like" function on these "replies." I thought I would fall over laughing when I read Julia's comment.
The Human loves OTHER PEOPLE's kids. LOL! One of the perq's of old age is, after having loved and doted upon and petted and encouraged and paid for and loved and (etc., etc., etc.) one's own children, you can gaze upon a weary, puzzled, harassed young mother or father and think, "Thank you, God: I'll never have to do that again!"
Cassie the Corgi dotes on young children (having had a 13-year-old before she was dumped in the dog pound), but...well, but...she seems to share the sentiment with her grandmotherly human. She likes them when they're cute. She adores them when they're strapped into a stroller.
When she's at her Human's Son's house for a party that includes the many young parents and the even more many young children, she's ever-so-slightly standoffish (as in "Aren't you cute? I don't WANT to rip your throat out, but if you come under this table with me, all bets are off..."). Especially with small kids who are too young yet to understand what Mom & Dad are trying to tell them when they try to explain how to approach a strange dog.
Cassie's opinion is that the children need leashes...
But in your case...leave the dog out!!!!!! haha!
Perfect....I mean not that I would do such a thing. "wink"
It has often been noted on the sales floor that the large and extra large dog crates are the right size for children. I, myself, have been inside the extra large while setting up the display. Not that I would ever suggest anything. Just sayin.
