And ohhh gosh this is frustrating.

So far, I've cleaned his crate twice (will be doing it for a third) and will have cleaned the dog 3 times.

He's been having diarrhea INSIDE of his crate and we're suspecting because he decided to eat a month old pizza. I wonder how long this is going to last and what I should do?

Plus, my hubby is being a wuss about the smell. Yeah, it's not pretty, but at least I'm putting up with it!

Hehe, my husband used to work in a care home for the elderly and disabled, and needless to say, he had a lot of mess to clean up almost every day. I helped him out there after we got married for the couple months he stayed at that job and I have to say, he had a much stronger stomach than I had.. I couldn't breathe! :x I think the whole thing with men usually having weaker stomachs around poo is probably because women as mothers have to change a lot of dirty diapers where the fathers wouldn't do it as often. But it goes both ways for sure.

My exbf is like that...even though we would assume responsibilities, he will always leave me to do the dirty work while he lays back...i hated that! but, I always have a can of pumpkin, and my dogs LOVE IT!their diarrhea stops and even vomiting stops....and make sure you give lots of water!

And yet, some men brag about their own smells or laugh about them. Go figure. Amyway, a tablespoon of pumpkin, bland diet for day or two.

I agree with Marion and Vern. Pumpkin has helped for Steve on the couple occassions he's had the runs. Rice and chicken is also good but sometimes it's just easier to grab a can opener and spoon.

LOL I'm sure my husband would pass out too!! I know he's never cleaned out her kennel when that's happened! Come to think of it I don't think he's ever cleaned up any of her accidents! LOL Men (eye roll)

Next time he has a chance to eat month old pizza he probably will again! Our doberman has a weak stomach and cleaning the river of poo has been my job on more than on occasion! I don't think my husband has ever even seen her crate like that. He would probably pass out!

Chesney was pretty sick from some food my mother in law gave her not long ago it's not fun! I agree don't feed him for at least a day but make sure he gets lots of water. When I did give her food I mixed in some plain yogurt to help get the good bacterias back in her system. I've never heard of pumpkin before! I'll have to try that! Hopefully not too soon though...lol.

This is why we keep a can of pumpkin handy. Sami has only had one tiny little bit and we gave her a couple teaspoons of pumpkin oh 3 or 4 times and that was the end of that. Good luck.

Haha! I'm usually the one with a weak stomach ... kind of weird how things change once poo is involved, lol.

Thanks for the advice. I'll be doing bland diet and lots of water. How long does diarrhea usually last? And how can I give him pepto?

Don't feed him for a day or so and then bland for about a day after that. My Mina also has a bad habit of putting everything she comes across in her mouth as well. The first was part of a quite dead fish. What a mess that was. Vet told me not to feed her for at least twelve hours and then just rice and boiled chicken for a couple of days before mixing in a bit of her food.
