So Jonathan and I went shopping for Dodger and we spent about almost two-three hundred on some supplies. Some we got from in a store and the rest we got online. So we're waiting on all of our online stuff we ordered, but I'm going to show the stuff we got from the store.
Things you won't see:
- Orange Teddy Bear
- Marvin the moose toy
- Coco colored dog bed
- Kibble scoop
- Gingerbread interactive dog toy
- Crate
- Chilly bone
- Chinese dragon toy
First toy we got Dodger is a puppy KONG to help with his teething .
The next toy we got Dodger is a blue dragon. There's two or three in the series I think. We didn't go with the pink one because if we were going to get him the pink on then we'd save it for Valentine's Day.
The next thing we got Dodger was this cute smiley faced hot dog. Jonathan thought it was corny and cheesey to give him something like that, but I thought it was a great idea!
The next object I personally thought was a good idea was the interactive treat dispenser. It helps keep the puppy/dog entertained and it requires the pup to think on what they can do when the door are adjusted to a more difficult level. Jonathan protested it, but I got it anyway.(:
The next thing we got him was a hair brush to keep up with his grooming and besides, what dog doesn't love being groomed every once and a while for fun! Hopefully Dodger will enjoy it!
Next we got Dodger a KONG'S squeaky bone chewy dog toy. They came in all colors, but Jonathan was the one who ended up picking out the blue colored one. I had a hard time resisting on squeaking it the rest of the time we were shopping.
The next item I picked out was Greenies Teenies for Dodger. He's going to be on a strict schedule for when he receives one though since Greenies can cause a corgi to gain weight.
The final item Dodger will be receiving was actually given to me by Jonathan when we got home. A navy blue bandanna with little paisley object on it. Of course I couldn't refuse on that one! Dodger is going to look so adorable with it on!
So that's all the items that Dodger will be receiving from our little shopping spree. I'll (hopefully soon) post another post with the other objects once they arrive! Dodger comes home this Sunday and I'm extremely excited for it!(:

We just use the plain one, medium size. Works great. Mine blows her coat about twice a year. Even in between that, she sheds a lot. It usually goes with the change of seasons, but she sheds more in summer. It's a good tool. You just don't want to overuse it, but a good groom session once a week helps keep the hair levels a little more manageable.
He's going to be such a happy pup! Have to say I laughed a little at the comment about grooming "once in a while" with that little brush. You will be in for the shock of your lives if you think that will tackle that unsurmountable challenge of keeping corgi hair at bay once he's all grown up! We were all like you once, blissfully naïve about the voluminous and inpenetrable oodles of corgi tufts and fluff. And lo, one by one, we were guided to the magnifence that is the "Furminator." Take back the kitty brush and arm yourself with the only weapon that stands a chance against the furry shedding monsters.
Draco has the black dragon from that set! He loves it!
Dodger is going to love it!!! I also agree with the greenies, I have heard the same thing as well, and would stay away from those too. Can't wait to see pics of your new pup!
How fun! And so exciting! We can't wait to see pictures of Dodger!
Ahhh yes....the new parents! You guys are just a little excited aren't you. Have fun but rememeber what Dodger needs the most is a loving home with good food, treats, long walks and plenty of play time.
BTW...tell Jonathan that every dog needs a silly looking squeaky hot dog.
Looks like fun! I love puppy shopping! I will warn you against greenies though. I don't give them to my dogs. My Aunt gave 1 a day to her giant bull headed Rottie and it dies because of them. They have a tendency to coagulate in the stomach and make this giant Greenie mass. Which then explodes the stomach and kills them. I prefer regular teeth brushings and natural chews like antlers, knee caps, and yeti chews. Or Zukes makes a nice teeth cleaning bone that doesn't have those downfalls. Have fun with your new pup!
