Last night my first cat fluffy passed over the rainbow bridge. I got him 6 years ago as a stray. He sadly got cancer that grew in his ear. Last night we received a call from the vet that fluffy had cancer, bellspalsy, and meningitis. The cancer was very aggressive and it spread to his throat. Never in my life had I cried as much as I did. The vet said he wouldn't have lasted the weekend as his face was paralyzed and he couldn't eat. He couldn't even speak. Last night I spent almost an hour in a small room with my family and fluffy. We all spent time with him and said our goodbyes. The strangest thing occurred to me though. Fluffy came as a stray to us on November 8 2006 and he left us on November 8 2013. God has an interesting way of putting together the puzzle of life. And to everyone love your pets, your friends, your family even more. You never know when their last day will be.

Thank you all. The last few days have been hard but Angie and my 3 other cats have been helping me through all this. My youngest cat Skye, has been crying just as much as I have. It makes me sad to think about fluffy but I'm happy to know he's in a better place

So sorry for your loss! You were lucky to have him for the time you did...and he was lucky to have you...all we can do is love them and hope we have them for a long time! I have come to realize that sometimes that is way too short! Take care...glad you got to say 'good-bye".

I am so very very sorry.  I know how much it hurts.  They come to us when we need them the most whether we realize it or not.  They gives us what we might not have known what we needed.  The hardest part is letting them go, our love wants to keep them with us but our part of the bargin is to give them peace when the time comes.
