A year ago today I had to do the same thing for my beloved Skipper, my first corgi.  My heart goes out to you.  Its such a hard thing.  But its the right thing.  Be strong.

So sorry for your loss.  I have been there myself several times and that is the last and best thing we can do for our 4 legged friends to be there at the end and hold them and help them cross over!
