Hey all.

Just a little update about Derek's and I's little one. We took him to the vet yet again this morning, and his Parvo test came back positive. Roscoe and I are back home with every method possible of helping Roscoe fight this virus. Support and advice, per usual, is always welcome and very much needed. Thanks y'all.

Hi Katie!  How old is Roscoe?  What did the vet tell you to do?  For sure do as Stephanie advises, HYDRATION!  You could probably give him some Peadelite (SP??  Its for children to add electorlites back)  also some Echinacea to boost the immune system.  I wouldn't give him a tincture unless you can find one with no alcohol.  Might try taking a capsule, opening it up and adding a bit of water to it and put it in his mouth with your fingers.  You all will be in our prayers!

I once had a yorkie puppy that contracted Parvo. It was one of the scariest moments of my life - but he lived! I put a gate up and he and I spent 2 full days in the kitchen floor. I used a syringe from my wisdom tooth surgery (has a curved tip) and squirted water down his throat, cleaned up after him and cuddled him. The key is to keep him hydrated. It is scary stuff and we'll be sending positive thoughts to you.
