LeeLoo and I met Winston at the 9/3 Ohio Valley Pembroke Welsh Corgi rescue event. He's a beautiful dog! A little shy, but he came around just in the few hours we were with him.
This rescue is amazing to work with. We live in Southern Indiana and even though our dog was originally in Ohio, we worked it out to meet half way in Kentucky. Don't ever let distance get between you and the dog of your dreams!
BTW, LeeLoo is curled up between my legs asleep and snoring but I'm sure she says hi!

Winst (short for Sir Winston) is a neutered red head tri Pem boy born Feb 21, 2010. He is quite calm for an 18 month old Pem; at the same time tho he acts very much a young dog. He is in good weight right now. We do know some of history the most significant part is that he was not socialized at the optimum age. He has responded to being socialized for the past 2 months. He still is leery of meeting unknown people and is very, very fearful of smaller children. He does not attempt to bite but makes every effort to flee them. As you can see by one of the photos he will make up with older children. He seemingly prefers meeting men to women but he will get along with all folks once he realizes they will give him affection and attention. Winst does fine with the foster homes cat, tries to get her to play with him at times. He seems to be very afraid of other dogs, but to some degree it may just be that he has not met them many, many times. He has toys he will play with them by himself which he loves to hear squeak. He had a 5 rope toy it is now a 10 string toy! He enjoys chewing (formerly) real live bones. He loves to Zooommmieees in the yard and to a lesser degree in the house. He enjoys being groomed but for his toe nails and then he just wiggles as you do them. Winst loves to go for walks when the temperatures are not too hot. He loves to do whatever the humans are doing really hopefully it is petting him! He is not a barker, not even when the doorbell rings. He needs a home with a fenced yard as he will not poop or pee on leash. He is housebroken and crate trained. He rides well, crated, in the car. He is looking for a quieter less active home that will give him loads of loving attention, lots of exercise and an abundance of petting.
