So Very Thankful

I'm just going to post a short blog to say how thankful I am that God knows what He's doing and is the one in charge. I have no doubt now that Brodie showed up at our farm when he did for a reason. That reason was that God knew we needed him as much as he needed us.

Over the past two weeks, my mother (who has been living with us since my dad passed away last August) suddenly took a turn for the worse, with the onset of dementia, followed by a basically comatose state. Had Brodie not been here and been a concern for me (with his needing to wear an E-collar after his surgery, etc.), I'm sure I would have been spending 24/7 at the hospital several towns away, followed by the skilled nursing facility. Instead, I had to make choices and force myself to leave to attend to the rest of my family and get some rest. In the end, we lost Mother over the weekend and now Brodie is right here to help me find reasons to smile. He and Kadi always make me laugh when I need to.

Thank you, Lord, for sending me this special Guardian Angel named Brodie, to walk through these tough times.
