The first pic is Sophie back in December of 2014; it shows her lying on her ottoman after her first chemo treatment; a pretty sad corgi, indeed. She had been diagnosed with lymphoma in early December during a routine vet visit to monitor her seizure meds and we were devastated. We decided to go ahead with chemo despite her age (10 yrs.) and Hx of seizures, since she was still enjoying life, food and walks. We agreed to stop the treatments if they made her feel too lousy. She was a trouper through it all and never snapped, growled, or even whimpered at the vet and techs even though she was getting poked and prodded on a weekly, then biweekly basis. She'd feel a little down after some of the treatments, but never got very sick. She never even vomited or had any potty accidents in the house; such a good girl. The second pic shows Sophie in the car after her last chemo treatment in June 2015. She was smiling so big, I swear she understood what we had been talking about at the vet's office. She is in total remission, all nodes and blood tests are WNL and she's good to go! YAY! A big thank you to the wonderful people who took such good care of her at the vet clinic. She is being duly spoiled and enjoying every minute of it, as are we enjoying spoiling her!

Apparently, GOD wanted you to have her for a few more years. Count your blessings and love her like there is no tomorrow. Our little soul mates deserve the very best.
