Sterling had his first vet visit yesterday. I moved last year (and had no pets) so I had to find a new vet. I searched for vets in the area and read a lot of reviews. I ended up choosing shady oaks veterinary clinic in Minnetonka, MN. They had almost all good reviews, and I'd have to say our experience was pretty positive. The front desk staff seemed to be a little disorganized and having a tiff with someone else in the office, as they were complaining that they were making a personal call. Despite this, they were very nice to both of us and gave sterling a lot of attention. I think the other dogs were jealous!
Sterling did pretty well in there considering all the other animals and distractions. He jut loves attention, so he tries to do whatever he can to get it when people walk by. The vet was impressed that he could sit, stay, and lay down already. (We didn't even show her shake and roll over!)
Overall it was a good experience. They were very nice (especially the vet) and surprisingly affordable. Sterling did a pretty good job listening, but I see we need to practice with more distractions. If anyone is looking for a vet in this area, sterling and I would definitely recommend Shady Oak Veterinary Office :)
