What can you expect? How would YOU feel if part of you was taken out and you know whos fault it probably is? I'm sure she'll be back to norman EVENTUALY.

Hello! so I took her out of her cage and now she is running! like she went straight to the door to be taken out and she peed and pooped just fine! she ate and drank fine, just a little bit tired, but she is a lot better! i got her some oral pain meds for four days...

I know exactly how you are feeling. I had my Maggie spayed back in February and I thought she hated me. I cried for 2 days because of the looks she was giving me after she returned from the procedure. However by day 4 she was back to her normal self and she is still my best bud. The best thing I can tell you to do is give your baby her space so that she can recover. I know its hard to do but when she is feeling better she will come around.

Poor gal!! Tucker just got neutered 2 weeks ago. The vet had him stay overnight so I didn't see how he was that day but he was pathetic as anything when I picked him up on day 2. All mopey and sad. He licked himself pretty bad while at the vet and then had to wear a cone for the whole week. At first he was banging into things and scraping it on the ground (which startled him every time) but he learned to eat, drink, fetch and snuggle with it on pretty quickly. He perked up a bit each day but wasn't 100% himself until day 5 i'd say - although he did have some stomach issues mixed in there so maybe that delayed his recovery.

I hope she is feeling like a Superstar in no time!

winnie was pretty much healed by day 3 as well. our suggestion is stop issuing pain meds after day 1 unless super* seems to need it. otherwise she'll think she's farther along in the healing process than she is.

She should be back to her oldself by day 3, you can start bathing her on day 10.

I took Stanley to the SPCA too when he got neutered last month. I can tell you he was pretty out of it the first day but by the 2nd day, he was much better. By the 3rd day, it was like it never happened :) But we didn't leave the e collar on him. We put it on for like 2 minutes and he just stood there frozen like a statue and had this miserable look on his face. I couldn't stand it! Luckily, he didn't bite or lick at his incision and now he's all healed up. Superstar will bounce back in no time. Your next issue will be trying to prevent her from wanting to run and jump right away.
