10:30 - Went out for a potty break.

10:50 - Sat scratching her nose on the carpet.

11:00 - Her head was an inch wider on all sides

11:01 - Called vet ER, crying, thinking she was going to die.

11:15 - Why do they always have to stick a finger in her butt?

11:30 - A shot and a treat.  Puffy face for 6 more hours, but we made

             it through.

About three days after we got Marcus, I learned the hard way that we have Stinging Nettles all over our neighborhood. Normally dog's fur protects them from the "sting" but on their muzzle the fur tends to be too short to help. The tips can inject pure histamine into anyone that wanders close enough, so the reaction tends to be pretty pronounced. I though poor Marcus was going to scratch his face off.

I'd keep a look out for these guys in case they were the culprit:

We're not sure what it was, she didn't have a scratch or bite on her, from what we could see.  It might have been a wasp, or eating something new.. no clue.  If it happens again, I'll get her tested and figure it out for sure.

Poor little girl, do you know what she had the allergic reaction to?
