And I am on Cloud 9! I am so proud of my awesome team. We went above and beyond and showed true corgi spirit.
It was a beautiful day at Kit Carson Park in Escondido, CA. We had at least 20 corgis show up; it was a sight to behold with everyone in their purple bandanas.
Sidney is thrilled to be here. Look at that smile!

The #1 Team takes the stage - hurray!
All together, we raised over $19,000, a record. It was thanks to the generosity of folks like the awesome people on this site that helped Team Low Rider do such an amazing thing. Thank you all so much!
2011 IS the year of the corgi!

Thank you Connie! We will definitely do it again next year!
If you find out that your local animal shelter is having a fundraiser, and start up the team yourself...it's really easy. Then invite people to join you, get together to discuss ways to fundraise....it's fun!
Saw the photos on the Daily Corgi on my Facebook, and had to come over here and say Congrats! Wish there was a group doing something like that around here! Keep up the good work, and let's continue with the Year of the Corgi!!
Thanks everyone! Wendy, I'm pretty sure Suter was busy doing "first dog" duties in Sacramento, and getting his belly rubbed.
I forgot to mention, there were games after the walk. I decided to enter Sidney and I in the "Rover Race". You have to balance a tennis ball on a plastic spoon and , while holding your dog's leash, race across the grass. It can get tricky because if your dog pulls on the leash at all, you will drop the ball. Well, we play this game all the time at drop-in obedience classes. Sidney noticed us lining up and saw the ball/spoon in my hand and knew just what we were doing. He heeled like a champ and not only did we win our heat, we won at the finals too! I was so proud of my little guy :)
