I want to take the time to thank all of you who have sent me well wishes, thoughts, prayers, stories and gifts! It's just hard to imagine that after 17-1/2 years my little pupperoni is gone. Funny though, I was just reading through past entry's and I came across my "doggie yoga" post...and it made me smile for the first time in three days. I've also browsed through and read about corgi's digging up yards and chewing miscellaneous things up and it warms my heart. It just now dawned on me that this year I won't have a wild corgi running though the bottom of my Christmas tree knocking all of the ornaments off with his tail...or opening presents a day or two before Christmas...that weren't his! My love to all of you and when you have the time keep the stories coming...they're all beautiful. xoxo Cowboy's momma

Cowboy's Momma...isn't it awesome how Cowboy is still touching lives and bringing so many togetherI I just finished reading all the posts and I can't think of a better way to honor Cowboy's memory. I sat here in my chair with both Callie & Cooper on my lap (not an easy task) while I read all this wonderful posts to them and cried my eyes out my babies comforted me by licking my tears( a first for us)...Thank you for sharing your very special guy with us all. Keep us posted on how you're doing and just know you'll be in our prayers...Lori, Callie & Cooper

When you are ready, you will know when, another corgi can be running around making you smile and laugh. Again when the time is right the new one will be a reminder of the love you had for Cowboy. So often Izzy will do something that reminds me of my Buffy and it makes me smile remembering what a sweet girl she was.

Dearest Mountain Girl: I have three corgis. I am a chef and partially involved with the apprenticeship of our Virginia Chefs Association. Last December, the apprentices presented me with a Christmas gift which I did not open at our chefs' association holiday party at Kingsmill. No one said anything to me. Tradition in my family is that nothing is opened before Christmas morning (except Aunt Charlotte's gifts). So, my smallish gift box stayed atop my piano for a few days and when I put up the fir tree, the gift was put with a few others under the tree. One afternoon, while working in my kitchen, I note out of the corner of my left eye, Tasha nosing a box across the floor from living to dining room. A moment later, Tasha is going, with the box, in the other direction. "Tasha, that's my present from the apprentices!" Only then did I discern the odor. Tasha had discovered a lovely present of Explorateur cheese and bottle of wine. The Explorateur had reached a level of admirable decay - if only I had known!

We pray that you will have another corgi to complement your life. All the best from Williamsburg: Nancy, Bear, Tasha and wee Linus
