We got the results back late last night and they were not what we wanted to hear. The mass they removed was cancerous, soft tissue sarcoma. It is an aggressive cancer and will grow back since they were not able to get all of it.

We have a call in to see the oncologist next week to see what our next step is. One thing that was pointed out was that it had not hit the lymph nodes, so it could just be a localized tumor. We're just not sure what we are going to do. Nor do we know how much this is going to cost us either. :/

We appreciate all the support, thoughts, and prayers we've received and we will continue to update as we learn new information.

If anything, this bought us some more time with him.

I asked about that, but the doc said chemo won't work in this case, it would more than likely have to be pinpointed radiation. Problem is it could cause central nervous or brain damage. :/

There is a therapy that was mentioned to me by someone, electrochemotherapy. I have to check in to it and see if it is an option.

So sorry to hear that news. :-(. Hopefully you have some treatment options. Chemo drugs rarely make dogs sick the way they do people.
