Spent a good two hours this morning trying to get a nice, respectable holiday photo of Jon and Dewi in front of the fireplace. [silence] With my point and shoot camera. [silence] Took about 70 photos. Not one decent photo in the bunch. Nope. In fact, it was like a two-hour obedience lesson gone horribly awry. (sit, stay, down, stay, sit, down, STAY!) I quit after this picture.
"Give me the cookieeeee now!!!!!"
(Oh, in case you're wondering, Jon and the cat were running laps around the room. Yep.)

I have some lovely pictures of Gromit. I have thousands of lousy ones. Sometimes taking the dogs for walk first settles them down and they stay a little better.
You have to get your guys used to the camera. This is definitely going to take more than just one photo session. If you feel that you're getting frustrated, quit and continue the next time.
By the way, I think that picture is great :)
I remember our first year in our house. It was the first year as a couple we could have dogs. This was '97- pre digital photos. I bought antlers for our (now dearly departed) lab mixes and tried exactly the same thing....sit...stay! I took an ENTIRE roll of film (27 photos) and had to wait for days to see if I had achieved, perhaps, ONE good one.
I am sure everyone here can guess the answer to that!
If you figure out how to get one PLEASE let us know the secret! I tried this outside today and mine were too wild in the snow:)
i know the feeling hahahahaha
I vote you post the best picture you got! Just to see :)
Haha gotta love the Holiday's! It is a cute picture the cozy fire in background! Nutty corgi waiting for Santa !
