Tick and Flea Repellent

I was wondering if anyone knows of any natural tick and flea repellents? I use to put Frontline Plus on Mac and then switched to Simple Guard and I noticed that he was having bad reactions to the Simple Guard, which now has me on a quest to find natural remedies to use instead of the medicated products.

Comment by Alison & Jason Godoy on December 9, 2011 at 5:18pm: No, he was fine with the Frontline Plus and I switched because my Vet had said that Simple Guard 3 would last longer than Frontline Plus, so I made the switch but I noticed it is bothering him when I apply it. Since the bad reaction occurred...I was wondering if there is anything natural that I could use.

I have never heard of Simple Guard and the only thing I could find about it online was that it was basically Vectra 3D. Now Vectra I have heard of, and only in a bad way, with MANY MANY people having dogs that had bad reactions to it. Did your dog have reactions to Frontline too?
