Wouldn't it be cool if, when things have settled down, these four (including the photographer) could be reunited and interviewed?  It would be a great way to showcase what first-responders do -- an awful lot of tedious training, learning, and practice, with little to show for it until -- BAM -- the time comes, and total strangers need them.

Just reaffirms that we are not all so different after all are we?  Different cultures, different lifestyle, and yet we all love our pets unconditionally.  What a touching picture! ^,,^

Naw, either your translations are wrong, or my Japanese skills are imaginary.
It reads, “A nameless rescue worker – one of many paid or unpaid highly trained professionals who dedicate their spare time or their entire lives to being ready to help strangers in emergencies, delivers the least of this day’s beneficiaries to a grateful and relieved loved one.”
The caption reads, "Corgi Rescue".

Tears of joy flowed from it's owner as a dog was returned by a rescuer in the Sendai area. Posted in the Tokyo Shinbun Takeo
