I have not heard of Vectra 3D, but my Vet kinda did the same thing, but with a product called Comfortis. It is also new. I am a little hesitant to use it. They are six chewable tablets that you give with a meal once a month.
I would be worried too. First it bothers me that it's new, if it kills all those nasty critters how strong is it? Do Advantics and Frontline have any chems in common with Vectra 3D? Tics are scarry, no doubt about it. You might Google Vectra 3D and see what comes up.
It is "fast-acting protection against fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, lice, mites and sand flies". Just wondered of anyone has tried it yet. My Bucher can't handle advantics or frontline, so I am worried about this too. I heard that the tics are really bad and we are going up north in the morning.
I would do some research on this product before using it on my special friend. Why is the vet recommending it? Jane Christensen and/or Joanna Kimball probably know something about this product.
