Finally, a really good day! I put Poppy into a different daycare today (first day free!) because I had a work function at lunch and couldn't come home to walk her. She seemed to do really well. I liked the place better then where I dropped her off on Monday, if only because I and anyone could look into the area where the dogs play and are kept all day. They are split into large and small dogs and while there isn't much stimulation for them, it was clean and I could see what was going on. There was also a webcam of which I was obsessed with all day and would cheer to myself when I would see Poppy jump onto someones leg (she is usually very fearful of new people). The dogs pretty much just hang out with each other and really the only time I saw people interaction was when one of the workers would come into the pen to clean up one of the dogs messes. So while not the stimulation I was hoping for, at least I could see what was going on.

We came home and went on our after work work and she pee'd and poo'd immediately, which was good. I have no idea what she did during the day. She was pretty much knocked out all evening. I put her in the crate while I was in the shower with some Rescue Remedy and her Kong and no bed. She cried and barked as usual for a while and then she stopped after about 30 minutes and I was really worried that she pee'd because I am assuming this is what happened when I left her in her crate the previous nights. She barks her head off and then stops once she has pee'd. So I mentally prepared for the worst once silence set in. But when I was finished and went out to the living room to get her, I checked her crate and it was DRY AS A BONE! I was so happy, I gave her an extra treat. Then we went for a walk which went well, but she was sort of obsessed with looking behind herself the entire time, which was annoying, I wonder what happened in daycare to prompt this. Probably all the dogs coming up behind her and sniffing her. She is a bit of a slut like that, as she rarely sniffs back.

So all in all, a GREAT day for us! Daycare was a success and she is doing an eval at another place nearby tomorrow. I feel like this place that we are going to tomorrow has more mental stimulation for the dogs and is pretty much the same price as the place I dropped her off yesterday and is closer. So fingers crossed for another good day (though I am not so sure as our walk this morning was pretty crappy for some reason, but I'll report more on that tomorrow)
