Judy, Lily and Louise, If you passed through Houma on your way from Saint Louis to New Orleans you started killing brain cells way before Burbon St. (I need to start riding with Y'all!) However, I am going to give this one to you because I never thought that anyone would ever get "even" close. It ain't Houma but it is close. If you over shot New Orleans by about sixty miles and were on the Houma Hwy. You may have missed the turn in the hwy and wound up south bound on LA1 and passed through Lockport, La. A great place to stop for Frog Legs, Turtle meat, Hog Cracklings and a cold six pack or two to get you back up to Mardi Grais!!! LOL Good job!!!
We used to go to New Orleans annually for about 8 years and I swear I have been to this place. I thought at first Slidell, but now I'm thinking Houma. I know I have stopped there, but have killed too many brain cells on Boubon St to remember where it is located!
Well of course they have tripe and pig ears (AKA Hog Cracklin, not only ears of course) They also have pickled eggs, pickled pigs feet, and boiled peanuts. The menu board can only hold so much. And, they do make a mean Po Boy! :) Sam, you are truely a man of the world. You guessed the state first try! Your my new hero! I don't know how you did that; do the frog leg stands in Viera, Fl and Toronto look so differant? You missed on the city though by a good fifty miles. I really think this one is impossible, unless you love a good Po Boy and go goast hunting in old churches.
