Today as I was getting ready, I heard Eddy freaking out in the other room. He had tried to eat a huge black woodcutter ant, and it had attached itself to his lip, and seemed to be nipping him over and over!!! Eddy was like, "YIP! YIP! YIP! YIP! YIP!" He was sneezing, shaking his head, rolling all over the place, etc. I yanked it off, and it made a nasty *crick* sound (?). GROSS. I hope he learned a lesson about not munching on whatever he finds laying around.
There aren't any issues with woodcutter ants down here, right? They're biters, sure, but not poisonous or anything (?!?) I remember a woodcutter ant attached itself to one of my childhood friend's arms, and he ripped it off, but the head remained, and he had to go to the doctor to get it thoroughly plucked. So I've always been excessively fearful of black ants. I've inspected Eddy's lips, and he seems to be fine, not even a bite mark... don't know how...
