Ok, so last friday I was on the floor again playing with all the dogs...I usually lay on the floor and its a Corgi pile time! But anyhow I was petting Lilly and felt a lump under her skin. Its on her right side, bout 2 inches down from her spine on her ribs. I can move it around like a little marble, and it doesnt seem to hurt her. Ein, my daughters corgi, had a fatty tumor when he was a puppy, and I guess they are pretty common in puppies. I have a thursday appt with my vet just to make sure though! Her personality and behavior are the same though, she is her usual self. I am still worried though. Ugh, say a corgi prayer for us!

Update!!!

I want to thank everyone for their prayers and wishes!! It really helped me keep from panicking!! Since her final round of vaccinations were just on the 3rd, the vet said it is probably a reaction to the innoculation! Her temp is fine, her behavior is fine, so that is what he is thinking. It isnt attached to the ribcage or anything, so it looks good!

Thanks Again to everyone!!

Check her lymph nodes under her chin. I found a suspicious lump on the side of one of my corgis a few years ago and it was lymphoma. My baby's lymph nodes felt like two big rocks under his chin. He was showing no visual signs of being sick so if I hadn't found one of the enlarged nodes I would have never known.

One of my oldest corgis also has various fatty tumors or limpomas so it could be one of those.

I hate to alarm you but do have the vet check the lymph nodes.

Is it where she got a recent shot? I've noticed little lumps at the place of inoculation after we go to the vet.

Hope you heard good news at the Vet. Rugby our older Tri has the exact same lump. It's about the size of a marble and the vet said it nothing but a fatty tumor. It's been there for years now and never has gotten bigger. Hopefully it will be the same with your puppy dog.

If she's young, there is a good chance it's a fatty tumor, but I understand your concern and it's good you are taking her to the vet. You just can never be sure. Good luck!
