My boy is so sick. The vets are doing all they can to try to figure out why he is vomiting and has diarrhea with traces of blood. So far they are ruling out blockages, the pancreas and his gall bladder, they have now sent stool samples to the lab to test for Giardia. He won't eat, he hasn't eaten in days, he is drinking so that's a plus. They prescribed food for him that he won't get near. I am trying to be strong for my kids (who are stressed out) but every time I look at him I just want to cry. He is never unsupervised outside and none of our other dogs show any signs of this at all. I just keep praying for him and trying to trust the vets will figure this out (we do have great vets)~ Sorry, I just needed to vent to people who understand Corgi love~

Hope everything is alright with Zim, and he gets better soon.

Just wondering if they started by giving him a dewormer? Did they run blood work to look at the liver, and kidney's values? That is what I would start with at my clinic. We would also start him on an anti nausea, and antibiotics. You might try a bland diet of some white rice with plain chicken. Just getting something in him at this point is important. I also recommend giving him Pepto-Bismol, Pepcid or another over-the-counter medication to help combat the nausea. Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) is also a good one to try for nausea and will semi-sedate him if he is painful. You can give him 1 mg per pound, which is about 1.5 tablets of the adult benadryl. If he is still vomiting and has the diarreah you might want to take him in for IV Fluids. Hope this helps, Let me know if you need more info...

Hope he will be alright. The waiting is awful. Just know a lot of people are pulling for him.

It's so hard to have a sick corgi.
Sometimes I feel for vets. Their jobs are so hard. We bring our furkids to them and we an only tell them what we see. They're not like a furless kid, you can't ask them, where does it hurt?
