What fun to have so many - and they are all so cute! Hopefully I'll find more corgi's in DC so that we'll have a good group if you need a corgi fix while you are in town!
Hi! We got Triley from a breeder near York, PA last July. He was born in late April, so we are gearing up for his first birthday. We love having him around and want to get him a corgi brother, but we'll probably wait until he is a bit older before we get another puppy!

Muddy babies ! I was bathing Brynn in the sink at first , but i took her in the shower with me last time (a friend suggested it ) and she wasn't as freaked out .We saved water and towels as well ! LOL Going try it more often now .I give her a bath/shower about once a month .

Hey Kristen - I love to have Brynn with us when we are on the road . I found that here in Oregon we have a bunch of Hotels that allow dogs for a small fee.Being a first time dog owner , i was surprised there were so many .As far as it being scenic , everywhere in Oregon is so it makes it easy :))
Thank goodness Brynn doesn't get car sick ! That would be a shame . I know a lot of dogs do .I started taking her on as many outings as i could when she was 8 weeks old and still do .Brynn goes with me on my local errands and seems so happy to be with me .
This weekend we are thinking of going up to Mt Saint Helens .Only an hour and a half away from us .
Any plans for the weekend?
I went to Forpaws.org and an application with them. They only really adopt out Corgis to people who have had Corgis before, but I had a Belgian Sheepdog for 11 years so we were already trained in the personae of the sheep. This organization seems to have quite a few people all over the country, so they suggested Jake and I talked to his foster mother and he seemed to be just right.
As far as socialization goes, we are doing pretty well. He still nips a bit when he gets over excited, does not always come when I call him to go out. Little things, that I think in time will iron out. So far, he is doing great with the potty training!
I hope at some point we can get him settled and perhaps think about another Corgi. I did see a few Corgis around here for adoption but they did seem to have a lot of issues because they were in shelters. Now that I found MyCorgi, I can actually post and see who is a good breeder! I looked at some of the puppy sites, and they were SCARY!
Oh, I love blogging. My late and much lamented kitty had her own LiveJournal...
The thing that worried me about a puppy was that my mother, who is 82, might not be able to manage the full training regime. Jake has his issues with socialization, and was not fully housebroken, but he is older and understands "no" and listens when she puts him out.
It sounds like you all do have some leeway with being able to get home for a pup. My daughter and I don't get home until 6:30...
Brodie looks so sweet...I would have loved a puppy, but did nto feel I was home long enough during the day. My mother is with Jake all day, and that has helped him to adjust.
Hopefully, someday, another Corgi will join us...:)
Thank you, Our Buttercup is feeling a good bit better now and starting to act like her old self. How are you enjoying all this winter weather that won't go away.

Hey Kristen - Thanks for the comment on my blog :)
Brynn was a little better this weekend around other dogs .Hopefully next time we go to the meet up she'll be running with them , and not away from them !
Hope you had a great weekend with Lizzie and Fergie :))
Grandma always to me the the "e" made it feminine...don't know about that, but never heard otherwise......never argue with grandmas or corgis, right? Thanks for the words on Maggie.....I've told her all the nice words people from this website have said and she just beams.......
We had a splendid time with the sleepover. In fact, we got so tired, we went to bed early in our crate while everyone was watching tv. The highlight was constructing a snowman.
I will have pics in the next few days. My monitor on my computer died, and all my pics are there, of course. Getting my new one tonight, so will get them on line soon.....Thanks for your welcome .....Lynne, aka, Maggie's mom
