Hi, Linus & family! We haven't been on this site for a while. Reading Linus' story was so touching. Thank you for sharing and for showing such great compassion for rescuing Linus. Good luck on being a new SF transplant. It's a fabulous city, like NYC, but it seems that there are more opportunities for Linus to play outdoors. Corgis love nature, don't they? Norman goes bonkers when he's in grass/sand/water. Happy holidays and a peaceful new year!

I see you are planning to go to the Corgi Fair, have you ever been? Our families going, this will be the first time attending and were very excited, in fact I'm counting the days! Is this your first Corgi? This is ours. I had dogs my whole life but the connection with this dog is unbelivable! Linus's story is so sad, I cannot comprehend someone doing that. Heck, if I see a stray dog on the way to work I will call in to help it, I even have animal control on speed dial for any injured animals I see. I bet Linus is extreamly thankful to you and your family for including him in your lives. I see you are interested in meet ups, the only one I know of is at the dog park in Mountain View on the 20th of each month. That's a little far for us so we've never been. I took a quick look at your page. Linus is so beautiful! Hard to imagine he was thrown away like that! I'm looking forward to hearing more about the adventures of Linus and Lucy!

(my 14 year old corgi mix has lost most of his teeth now too. Poor babies!)

Hey Courtney, we're also in NY! Saw lots of pics of Linus at the beach... is that around our parts or was that a trip? We want to introduce Dash to the ocean, swimming, and such... not sure where to go though. Any insights?

Hi Courtney. I haven't been on here for a while so I just saw your message. Have you tried Central Park yet? I'm not really a morning person, but I go there pretty much every night around 9:30 or 10 pm, stay until around 11. I have a regular meetup group (various dog owners) right near Hecksher Ballfields. We meet on the walkpath right down from the main park drive. You should drop by one day! Linus is precious.

It made me feel a lot better that he had his blanky. It was still so hard to watch him and see him slip away but I wouldn't have been able not too. He needed us. I'm sure with time I will heal but right now a lot of tears continue to flow. Thanks for the support

Thanks! We were at my sister's place in upstate NY. She has the border collie and the red Pembroke is my parents 8 year old who lives in FL most of the year. He is a big swimmer. Le-Le has not taken to swimming yet but we are trying. Linus is very handsome boy and great that you are giving him such a wonderful life. We used to live in NYC for years. Still go a lot since almost all of our clients are there and film lab, though we mostly do digital now. Le-Le has rescue issues even though we did go to a breeder to get her. We feel she is a rescue of sorts and I go to obedience or really 'basic buddy' class on Sat morning. We get up at 6am and drive an hour with a coffee stop of course to try and get Le-Le more comfortable with her world. She is making strides and doing better. Since Le-Le hates loud noises and lots of activitly she would not do well in the City. Our beagles used to come into NYC with us and were fine but Le-Le has to stay at home. Look forward to seeing more pictures of Linus.

Gizmo does try to "herd" the horses when it if feed time. Or if I am getting them up to ride. He gets very excited and wants to help me. I used to think he may get kicked. but it is amazing how he turns and turns in one direction and them another. I have a friend with ducks. She also has (i can't think of their name) a taller "herding" dog. and she herd those ducks on command. She wanted to get Gizzy out there and see what he would do. He started to out of curiousity.. but them came back and stood between my legs like a scared baby.. looked up at me like "I am not going to interact with those creatures." So.. I have to say Giz is a selective and lazy herder. LOL. Your BeanDip is beautiful.. he seems to love the water!! Gizmo does not like water.. He tolerates his baths.. he is just too spoiled.

I was honestly wondering if he was faking too just to get the good stuff, but today he wouldnt even get up he just laid there and looked sad...I believe his time is near the end but I will always remember him and I just keep thinking of funny memories and they are getting me by.

Yeah, Sorry about that. I am a typical Texan and think that the universe revolves around Texas. However, to get a good bagel we have to have them over-nighted from the Manhatten Bagel Co. But I just can't imagin life without Mexican food. "Shutter!!!"
Let us know if you get hard up and we will send you a fresh/frozen batch of Tamales. Just don't feed them to Linus!

New York City Get-A-Rope. Was an add ran by Pace picanta sauce. A bunch of Cowboys setting around the campfire eating dinner and one of themm says: "Yuck, Cookie where did this picanta come from" and the old cook meakly says "New York City" and all of the Cowboys spit out thier food and exclaim New York City, Get-A-Rope!" For a long time after that add aired everytime someone screwed-up Texan & Mexicans would say Get-A-Rope".
But there you are in New York City and you find a homeless Corgi and you get a rope bring him home and do a wonderful thing. There you go. New York City Get-A-Rope. God Bless Y'all.

I got my dogs from a breeder, but bless you for rescuing your lovable furball. I just loved the story.
