Maybe once a winter, we need a break from all the rain, esp. in Nov. or Dec. before there's enough snow to play in the mountains. I'm looking for places where we could spend 2 long days hiking with an overnight backpack or car-camp. It's kinda too far to drive for just one day.
We've done the Gingko/Frenchman's Coulee/Ancient Lakes areas, that's all.
I love the ponderosa forest country but I don't get out east much. Spent over a week backpacking/climbing in the Pasayten once (Cathedral Peak area); THAT should be corgi heaven.
