I thought about it, but I got a blog set up but I never remember to use it. It would end up being really general one and I am sure not everyone wants to read about my personal situations.
Hey Alison!
We are so bummed, but we can't come on Saturday. Calvin woke up very ill this past Saturday and was really knawing at his rear back. It was very wet and oozing. We rushed him to the vet and he had developed a staph infection. The dog park must have put it in full swing. Do you remember me telling you that I thought he had a strange odor? It was the infection! Poor baby:( So now he is on antibiotics and has a shaved rear. He has to wear the cone collar for TEN DAYS!!! So sad, but we'll try to make the next get together for sure!
When they are teething like that you have to be careful that they don't eat the teeth either. The GSD we have now did not feel bad after eating a couple of her own.
You should be able to find some of his teeth, when all of our German Shepherds were teething, we found teeth in our arms and around ourselves. Good luck on finding some, it has to be slightly different for corgis.
Odin is getting to be a big boy...enjoy this puppy stage cuz Edward is 8mos old now and huge...I mean long; not fat and getting longer I swear everyday!!! I'm so glad you have such a great time with him. I am enjoying my two sooo much and I don't know what I would do without them!!!!
Well Cooper has had all his shots now. He stayed at the vets all day so they could watch him for reaction. The vets kids were there playing with him, so he survived. He weighed 14.5 lbs. He's starting to put on weight finally. Looking forward to the Jan meetup.
I'm so happy to hear about another corgi puppy that's pickles age! We should definitely have a play day. What dog parks do you go to? So far we've gone to Altamonte, WinterPark, and Cassleberry. She seems to love Cassleberry and WinterPark's the best. We'll also be at the Jan 23rd Corgi Meetup! :D
As a joke, I am training Wynstan to learn military hand signals. I play airsoft (a more realistic version of paintball) and I think my airsoft buddies would absolutely die with laughter if they saw him respond to hand signals like that
Took Cooper for his shots and he had a reaction where his face and ears swelled up. Of course it was 7:30 pm so I had to take him to the ER. They gave him a steroid and benedryl and he's ok. Next time the vet will have to give only half at a time. They think it was the leptospirosis. Because corgis have a tendency to do this. He's fine now. Scared me tho. Told me to buy childrens benedryl 12 1/2 mg, grape flavor. I will buy some to keep on hand. Thought I'd let you know.
