@Lois - He's keeping her young and fit, tho' she may not appreciate that yet, haha! Actually, they're never more than 2 feet apart these days, by choice. They both sleep with us, which I never thought Lucy would allow, but he wore her down. He's been a work in progress, but is oh so sweet. He's the snuggly one.

Hi Wendy/Jack,  I'm sure glad to see that Lucy is maintaining her supremacy. Even though RR is a good boy, she is the senior member and he needs to understand her position, despite his size!!  HA.  They do work it out, don't they?

@Snickmom - Lucy's half RR's size, but tougher. She's alpha all the way––small but mighty.

Snickers acts like RR when she accidentally gets hurt- she retaliates, but harder!. Jack Spaniels is usually the one with an ear in someone's mouth, he has such long grabable ears! Since our dogs are such different sizes, the little one is usually on her back with Jack grabbing her collar (funny when his teeth get stuck) Then those stubby little corgi lets are peddaling like they will rip out his tummy if only they could reach. I'll have to try to get a good film of them. Aren't dogs fun!

I dunno Jane. I would have put my money on Lucy. But, R/R is feeling his oats these days. We actually started letting R/R sleep on our bed with Lucy. Previously, he'd choose his crate. Now, he's sleeping with us & (knock wood!), all is calm. He sleeps like a log. Doesn't move & Lucy doesn't mind. I'm a happy camper. A hot, happy camper, because they sleep on both sides of me, but happy! That's the key word. R/R had started to pee on our bed. I took that to mean he was staking territory. Since he's sleeping with us, not a peep (haha, pee) yet. fingers crossed!

@Lois - haha. Ricky-Rafa's been listening to these videos too, wondering what he could be doing to take charge. R/R watches TV, listens to these videos, AND he should be taking notes. Lucy was here 4 yrs. before him, and we have tried to make her alpha. R/R is becoming less submissive to Lucy, so it's a crap shoot. I trust Lucy's judgment more than his and have tried to turn the dice her way. We'll see what happens. I have to say that before Lucy, I always male/female pairs and the male was there first. The female never had a chance. This time I started with a female, and she has ruled, fairly. We'll see what happens, as Ricky/Rafa is beginning to feel his oats, big time.

Is Lucy in charge since she was there first.  My pup is listening to the videos and wondering what he should be

doing.
