most commonly enjoyed kibble among Corgi owners.

Ok..I know this has been discussed before, but just want to get a sense of the most commonly enjoyed kibble among Corgi Owners..want to switch from Purina One puppy to something else, and would prefer it be one that is fairly easy to find either in the grocery or pet shop..IMS, Beneful? Science Diet? I would like to hear your thoughts...

winnie eats raw for dinner but she is on the blue buffalo puppy food right nowfor breakfast. we will probably move her to timberwolf or orijen as we take her off puppy food. we actually decided against going with the high protien kibble as a puppy because we wanted to gradually increase her protein (from all kibble to raw in the evenings every other day to raw every evening.) I know with small breeds and as a puppy you have to be careful with giving too much protein too fast.
i have just heard it was hard for a young puppy (under 6 mos) to handle a high protein diet. and as far as raw/ kibble goes we want to have her on some kibble because it is an easier food for caretakers to give and to transport. (some people seen to really have issues with feeding a dog raw) we have also gotten some freeze dried raw that we are going to try too as an alternitive to kibble.
yeah... i think dog feeding can quickly become a touchy subject akin to breast vs bottle. but i do believe in raw and i know winnie is a happy and healthy pup. what makes me most proud is when i take her to the vets and they say that they are so happy to see such a healthy normal weight corgi. protein or not as she is 7 mos now we will be taking her off puppy food soon and switching to a high protien kibble.

do you make your own meals or do you buy premixed frozen meals?
we just have winnie and we use natures variety frozen. i am sure making it ourselves would be cheaper, but it comes down to my time playing with winnie is more valuable that saving the money. i can see with so many dogs that you would have to diy. i don't want to comendeer this thread any more, but if you want to talk more feel free to comment on my page.
I decided and bought Canidae Platinum for the old man corgi mix. Now, let's see how he likes it! He liked the regular formula but this is meant for seniors and is lower fat.
