I caught Darcy (3 mo.) doing something SO odd/funny today. She'd eaten half a rawhide square, then suddenly started pacing inside her pen, whining and whining, with the rawhide in her mouth.
I watched her pace about 10 times, then go to her little bed and wedge the rawhide deep into the corner. Then - she started "nudging" her nose toward the rawhide, over and over and over. I assume she was "burying" and then covering it up with imaginary dirt?? LOL I'd never seen her do that before. She's never done it outside, so it's not like she was imitating something she'd done before. I guess it was just Corgi instinct (none of my other dogs (Shelties) have ever done this).
I got a video of it - it's the closest I could get without interrupting her, lol. Anyone else's Corgi like to bury things and cover them up with imaginary dirt?
