Personally I prefer that we don't bring food, i've tried doggie picnics and it's messy and hard to eat while the dogs are pulling and want to play with each other/eat your food!

Freeport is nice because the picnic tables are set up right outside where the dogs are fenced in.  So most people just let their dogs play while they grabbed something to eat or drink :)  Wasn't messy/hard to eat at all!

Super.  I was not at the last one, so I did not know how that was set up.

I like that idea.  Then you don't have Corgi's trying to jump up at the food.  Plus I guess you saw that they would group the tables for us.  Do you know an area that would the best for that?  Maybe when we contact them, we could ask them to put them in that area.

I'm guessing they'll put the tables where we had them before, which was between the shelter building and the opening of the fenced in area. We set up the food/drinks against the shelter. It sounds like you guys got it all figured out while I was out of town.  SUPER!

 

Freeport - September 11 - Noon to 5pm - Potluck

If this is all correct, I will write an E-mail to Freeport again and tell them that we will be there.

 

I would like to go back to my other suggestion on Aug 2.

We could all bring something to donate to the shelter that would help the animals that don't have homes.

Their web site has a page that lists items they need.

It would be optional, of course, but people could bring a bag of Purina Puppy Chow or a box of Milkbones or bleach or papertowels.... There are lots of things on the list. We could collect them all together so we could all see how much stuff we are giving and then present it to the shelter.

I would love to do this.  What do you think?

hey everyone. the poll has indicated that most people would prefer to go to Naperville.  If so, can someone please get the documents we need to fill out? Post a link for the form for the day pass and can someone please be in charge of the paperwork for renting the pavilion if we are doing so.  I would but unfortunately I will be back at school this week.

I am so confused!

I thought we had ruled out Naperville because the paperwork was impossible and the cost of the pavilion.

And when I read the above discussions it sounded like you were back to Freeport.

I tried to vote on the survey and it won't even let me.
