Kyuubi started kind of wheezing last night, like hes congested. He acts fine and has energy just like before... if I had to describe it I would say that it is allergies.
Kyuubi hasnt been around anything abnormal, no other animals... just the normal routine and trying to get him to swim last weekend when it was like 115 degrees outside. Last night he sounded slightly congested and coughed and sneezed a little and this morning he coughed once, but other than that nothing is out of the ordinary... any thoughts?
In the mean time I am keeping him seperated from the puppy, and plan to take him to my vet... however, my vet is in surgery all day and closed for the weekend after today.
Should I be concerned?

Was it a "reverse sneeze"? check out these videos
yeah, reverse sneeze, it is what I'm thinking too. Sam, thanks for the video. I had the same experience with my dog Lorenzo a few weeks ago. we brought him the vet, after spending +$300, x-ray, shot... no conclusion of the cause, the vet even said his lung looks like old dog but still normal, I can't understand what does it mean.I found a discussion on this site about reverse sneeze, it is exactly what Lorenzo is doing, according to the discussion, you can use your hand to block the dog's nose, and the wheezing will be stopped. try it first whether it helps.
Quite a few of mine do this during high shedding times. I normally talk to mine and just calm them and that helps or I grab their nose and pinch it shut til they swallow and it does work. I freaked the first time my first Corgi female did this and she had quite a spell of this. Later, I learned this is common w/long nosed dogs but when I think of long nosed dogs I think of Collies, Greyhounds, not all of the Corgis are longer nosed. Anyways...its a mystery somewhat but he should be fine.
I think it may also be common in very short nosed dogs, since my parents' Shih-Tzu does this all the time, and her snout is just like a half inch long.
thanks a lot guys, ill try that and research it.
If it is reverse sneezing, I heard that massaging your dog's throat can help also.
Emmy has been making this sound, but it's not consistent for longer than a few seconds. I can hear that she is congested and she also is sneezing a lot. Does that sound like allergies or should I be worried?

I personally wouldn't risk anything with a puppy, I would call your vet. It could be kennel cough, hard to say for sure.

We went to the vet. Turns out it was just allergies. We're getting benedryl asap.
Felix has been super snotty for several weeks!  Now don't freak out when I tell you this...but we thought it was just allergies until he got really sick about two weeks ago.  He had Whipworm - a pretty rare type of worm transferred through poop.  With this type of worm the intestines create an enormous amount of mucus, and he's still been fighting it off.  However, this was accompanied by the worst diarrhea ever, and he ended up getting extremely dehydrated before we could get him dewormed.  He probably picked it up at the dog park or at his doggy daycare, so just keep an eye on Emmy just in case!
