Charlie recently got tar all over his paws and on part of his belly fur (the street right outside my apartment is being repaved. Leave it to them idiots to put tar/oil down on a rainy day...).

Thank you for all that recommended peanut butter or vegetable oil and 30 minute wait. My boyfriend tried his Fast Orange Pumice Hand Cleaner (got from Autozone, might be available at grocery stores) that he uses on his own hands to remove oil and what-not after working on his car or anything else super messy. Worked like a charm! Doesn't require any wait time either, you just apply, rub in to fur or paw (make sure you get all the way between the footpads, alot of tar gathered there on Charlie, then rinse and repeat as necessary!

I totally should have taken a picture!! I was in such a hurry to get to work though that morning after trying to get him clean in an impromptu bath (soap and water is no match for tar... sigh) that I didn't! I hope there's no next time, buuut if there is i'll def take pictures :)
Bless you and poor Charlie.
